Yet he had not ascended the theology of crisis such all is to be Theology of the Word or of revelation. Revelation deals with the relation of the divine consciousness in the human consciousness and this is precisely the question of modern epistemology. Brunner admits this. He has not hesitated to assert that theology must be based on a critical epistemology.
