Freedom Tillich attempt to interpret the doctrine of freedom in a new light. He affirms that both determinism and in[]determinism have used [Crossed out: of] because of this tendency to suppose that there is a [Underlined: thing] among others. [Page 2] things called will. "Freedom is freedom of a function (the "will") will of omen, that is, of that being who is not a thing but a complete self and rational person." (ST, 183)
