I must confess that I am presently surprised by this decision from Mississippi. [Crossed out: It represents an encouraging] While the decision cannot be interpreted as an revolutionary attitudinal change in white Mississippi, it does represent a encouraging sign. This decision represent a first step in a thousand mile journey toward the goal of equal administration and justice in Miss. It must be remembered [MS: Elligible} that these men have never been tried for murder in the State Court of Miss, therefore, legislation is still very much needed to enable the federal court to prosecute the full measure of justice in these brutal and heineos crimes.
