Knox, John (1515? - 1562) : The leading churchman in, though not the originator of, the Reformation in Scotland. He who born at Haddington, in East Lothian, and studied in the grammar school there before being admitted in the University of Glasgour. He probably became a priest in about 1530 but little is known of this period of his life. When in 1559, the Scottish Parliament adapted the reformation, know was an hand to guild it.
