November 17, 1965 To Whom It May Concern: I am a student attending the Margaret Washington High School in the District of Columbia. One of my main subjects are Government. I was asked by the instructor to report on the Southern Christian Leadership Conference by December 1, 1965. I called the SCLC [Southern Christian Leadership Conference] here in Washington and was told that they didn't have very much information to send me but what they had they would. I would like to obtain more information about your [Page 2] organization. So I would like for you to send me all of the information possible if you will. This information is very important to me and the sooner I get it, the more I will be able to read and the better my report will be. In additional [addition] to the pamphlets here are some more information I will need. 1. Goals and purposes of the organization. 2. The name of the leaders and how it works. Thank you very much.
