Patripassianism: (Lat[in], pater, [fater?]; patior, suffer) A nickname applied by Cyprian [a 3rd century bishop] to the Modalistic Monarchian Doctrine that the redemptive suffering of Christ was the suffering of God the Father, since Christ and the Father are the same Person.
