Race As the result of scientific research Buffon, great French naturalist, wrote about 1750, " There are in nature only individuals. Races, orders, classes exist only in imagination." And Lamarch said a little later, "classifications are artificial. Nature has created neither classes, nor orders, nor family, nor races, nor permanent species, but only individuals."
