Atlanta . . . The King Center has been selected to receive a $50,000 software grant from Microsoft retail stores, announced King Center CEO Bernice A. King today. She will accept the grant at the ribbon-cutting ceremony during the grand opening of the new Microsoft Store in Perimeter Mall on Saturday, May 31 at 10:30 a.m.
“We are delighted to have been selected to receive this Microsoft software grant, and I want to thank Microsoft for supporting the King Center,” said Ms. King. “Microsoft has been a great corporate champion of helping educational institutions and human rights organizations to modernize their capacity for leveraging state-of-the-art digital resources. I look forward to thanking Microsoft for their generous contributions.”
“We urge everyone who supports the King Center to join us at the grand opening this Saturday, May 31st. This will be a fun-filled celebration that serves a good cause – a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning.” Those who want to support The King Center are urged to be at the grand opening before 10 a.m.
As part of the grand opening of the Perimeter Mall Microsoft store, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will appear in an exclusive performance at 8:30 p.m. on the 31st at the northeast parking lot of Perimeter Mall. Tickets to their concert will be provided at the ribbon-cutting/check presentation ceremony that morning.
The new Microsoft store will be located on the second level of Perimeter Mall, near Urban Outfitters and Goldfish Restaurant. The address of the Perimeter Mall store is 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30346.
